I'm a student and teacher of leadership and strategy. I believe story-telling and story-listening are among the most critical leadership skills. I further believe that impact, metrics and data are among the greatest imperatives of this era for nonprofit leaders. I therefore spend a good deal of time reflecting on the intersection between stories, leadership, and data.
I dwell in the land of philanthropy, and know very well that at least one good story (whether told or heard) swirls within and around every great gift!

...MGarrison Keillor because...
He reinvigorated oral tradition in a time when it might have fallen away, and he also created a world of characters with such consistency, depth, and silly humanity that listeners could grow with them across seasons and years as if longtime friends. I've also long loved his capacity to inspire and delight.
