Mark Rovner

Aspiring optimist. Warm-hearted mush ball. In his book Tribes, Seth Godin calls me a fundraising heretic.

I really want to live up to that.

Wrote a screenplay called Bible Land about a time when Disney had taken over the entire Middle East and turned it into a theme park. Working on a novel about a hit woman who has a life crisis in the Caribbean. Found the love of my life at 50 — the ocean. Happiness is a deep dive on a coral reef surrounded by life, color, chaotic order, and soul-restoring majesty. And especially sharks. I want to hug them.

I’m a bundle of contradictions: a lawyer who hates lawyers, a fundraiser who doesn’t care about the money, a land-locked sea creature.

And I can’t wait to meet you!

My favorite storyteller is...

...Joss Whedon. Buffy can make me laugh and cry at the same moment. That’s a gift!

My gift to you:
