Jeff Brooks

I'm the creative director at TrueSense Marketing, and have been writing nonprofit stories for more than 25 years.

I believe that as fundraisers, we not only tell stories to our donors, but we help create stories that star our donors.

I've written three books about fundraising: The Fundraiser's Guide to Irresistible Communications, The Money-Raising Nonprofit Brand, and How to Turn Your Words into Money.

I live in Seattle half-way between an elementary school and a cemetery. The first drafts of just about everything I write are so terrible they might make decent surrealist poetry.

My favorite storytellers are Richard Brautigan and Fyodor Dostoevsky.
